"Death Panel" - Democrats fail to discipline the two-year-olds

If you have had a two-year-old you are certain to remember how two-year-olds behave when they want something. They act out.

This acting out includes screaming, yelling, lying, hitting, jumping up and down and of course holding their breath.

Whatever it takes to get their way. Now a good parent knows that if you give into this once, the child will do again and again knowing it works.

Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, according to an Associated Press report, says the Senate health care reform bill will no longer contain a provision which would reimburse doctors for discussions they would have with patients, at the patient's request, about end-of-life care.

The two-year-olds have won.

Yes that's right the screaming, yelling, lying, hitting and jumping up and down of the right wing republican activists that were instructed to attend and disrupt democratic town hall meetings are victorious again. Unfortunately the only tactic these people didn't use was holding their breath for long, very long periods of time.

But they are not to blame. After all, a two-year-old has only one objective - to get their way.

The blame lies with the parents. The parents in this case are the democrats.

How many clips were broadcast on television or the internet from town hall meetings showing democratic representatives and senators standing trying to reason with these adults acting like two-year-olds.

Instead of saying, in harsh and clear language, stop that right now. You are not getting you're way, no matter how much you scream, yell, lie, hit or jump up and down.

This bill is about billions of dollars in profits for health insurance companies, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and others.

Did the President think that bipartisanship would mean that republicans in congress would put people before the profits of these companies that helped elect them?

These are the same people that yelled and lied about Sen. John Kerry, D-Ma. being a coward in Vietnam and used scare tactics on county election boards and the manipulation of the Sarah Palin like doll Katherine Harris to stop the vote recount in Florida in 2000.

Two-year-olds who get their way because of bad parenting.

It's sad for me to say, but I don't blame the republicans, their marketing and lobbying forces and their activists for doing what they did.

The democrats keep teaching them year-after-year and decade-after-decade, that if they keep acting like two-year-olds, they'll get their way.
